Likes: My son has really enjoyed these books. We were first introduced to them at our homeschool co-op.

I find this approach to drawing very gentle and easy for a younger student to use. I would recommend buying the Draw Write Now student book as well if you desire to have your child do the copywork/handwriting portion. My son used this as handwriting practice for 2nd grade. He would choose an animal to draw in pencil, color it in, then copy 1 or 2 sentences below his drawing.
