First Language Lessons - very gentle, but too scripted

Levels Used: K, 1, early 2
Dates Used: 2006-2007

Likes: It was all in one book. I could use it for all my children at different levels and abilities. It was very easy to implement and very gentle in approach.

Dislikes: I felt like it was too scripted. The girls tired of hearing "A noun is the name of a person, place, thing or idea" 3x per day. While they learned from it, they seem to learn better from a simple workbook approach.
