Mystery of History

by Lynda
(Texas)

Product: Mystery of History I
Subject: Ancient History
Levels Used: 1
Dates Used: 2009

Likes: I have wanted to teach history starting with creation & to teach Jewish as well as Christian history so my son would understand why the problems in the Middle East are occurring. This does what I want and more.

I believe in a young earth idea, but there are things I never really thought about before. This curriculum is opening my eyes to think about some things in ways I never thought about them before, like the ice age was caused by the flood. Also, I know Adam and early man must have been very intelligent, I never realized how advanced they were before the flood, they even knew how to make bronze which is a complicated process. With this new insight I can teach my son in a different way than I learned & help him see things differently.

History doesn't have to be complicated for children to learn about it. This curriculum makes it fun, yet gives plenty to do, even a highschooler can use it as part of graduation requirements.

Dislikes: I wish the Ussher dating had been used or at least given as an alternative.
