Discovering Great Artists contains over 150 activities that introduce 4 to 12 year old students to some of the world's greatest artists using projects that utilize the particular artists' style. The project instructions are clear and easy to understand, and use materials that parents are likely to have in their homes.
Students will study artists from the Middle Ages and Renaissance to present day, and learn a variety of techniques and styles. The publisher, Bright Ideas for Learning, provides links to full color examples of artwork by many of the artists that are featured in the book.
