The Phonics Road to Spelling and Reading Curriculum Review

The Phonics Road to Spelling and Reading was written for children in grades K-4, but has been used successfully with students of all ages who are lacking a firm foundation in English.

While most phonics and reading programs begin with letter sounds, this program begins with spelling as the key to reading. It is currently the only Orton inspired program that uses DVD based video lessons to show parents how to teach their children; thus, saving parents many hours of self-study.

A construction theme is used throughout the program. Parents are the foremen, and children are apprentices. After completing the 4-year spelling, reading, writing, grammar and composition program, students will be prepared to move on to use the Latin Road to English Grammar.
