Preschool Songs
Singing preschool songs is a great way to enjoy music with your children. My children love it when I sing with them, no matter how bad I sound. We sometimes include our names in the songs, or invent silly lyrics.
Here are our favorite preschool songs:
Apples and Bananas
Clean Up
Do Your Ears Hang Low?
Five Little Speckled Frogs
Frere Jacques
Old Macdonald
Pop Goes the Weasel
Six Little Ducks
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Do Your Ears Hang Low?
Do your ears hang low?
Do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie them in a knot?
Can you tie them in a bow?
Can you throw them over your shoulder,
Like a continental soldier?
Do your ears hang low?
Repeat once slowly, once quickly, and again, as fast as you can.

Five Little Speckled Frogs
Five little speckled frogs,
Sat on a speckled log,
Eating some most delicious bugs.

One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool.

Four little speckled frogs…
Three little speckled frogs…
Two little speckled frogs…
One little speckled frog…

Frere Jacques, Frere Jacques,
Dormez Vous? Dormez Vous?
Sonnez les matines. Sonnez les matines.

Brother John, Brother John,
Morning bells are ringing, Morning bells are ringing.
Ding, ding, dong! Ding, ding, dong!
I hear thunder, I hear thunder,
Oh, don't you? Oh, don't you?
Pitter, patter, rain drops. Pitter, patter, rain drops.

Old Macdonald
Old Macdonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O
And on that farm he had a duck, E-I-E-I-O
With a quack, quack, here,
And a quack, quack, there.
Here a quack, there a quack,
Everywhere a quack, quack.

Pop Goes the Weasel
All around the mulberry bush
The monkey chased the weasel.
The monkey thought ‘twas all in fun
POP! Goes the weasel.
A penny for a spool of thread,
A penny for a needle,
That’s the way the money goes.
POP! Goes the weasel.

Six Little Ducks
Six little ducks that I once knew,
Fat ones, skinny ones, fair ones, too,
But the one little duck with the feather on his back,
He led the others with a “quack, quack, quack.”
“Quack quack quack. Quack quack quack.”
He led the others with a “quack, quack, quack.”
Down to the water they would go,
Wibble wobble, wibble wobble, to and fro,
But the one little duck with the feather on his back,
He led the others with a “quack, quack, quack.”
“Quack quack quack. Quack quack quack.”
He led the others with a “quack, quack, quack.”

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Twinkle, twinkle little star,
How I wonder what you are,

Like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle little star,
How I wonder what you are.
