Artistic Pursuits Curriculum Review
Artistic Pursuits is a homeschool art curriculum with programs for grades K through 12. These books are written for independent study and are student friendly. They are also non-consumable, and can be used with multiple students.
Grades K through 3 consists of three books, and grades 4-6, grades 7-8, and grades 9-12 each consist of a set of two books. All books include copies of artworks by Master artists in full color.
Grades K through three introduce the visual arts and art through history. Art appreciation and related projects are also included.
Book One for Grades four and up provides an overview of drawing, including the elements of art and composition. Book Two teaches an overview of color theory and compositions.
Programs for grades four through twelve teach technical skills and have students create original works of art. They also include an overview of American, World, and European art, as well as biographies of various artists.
