Classical Writing is a homeschool writing program for students from 2nd grade through high school. The program is modeled after the ancient greek method, Progymnasmata, a process of having students analyze and imitate classic literature and speeches before creating their own compositions.
Children who use this program begin by retelling fables, and gradually progress to creating complex compositions. The company also sells a series of Primers for that contain copywork, narration, spelling, grammar and picture study exercises for children in grades 1 through 4. Recorded online group classes for middle school and high school students are also available.
