Phonics Pathways Curriculum ReviewPhonics Pathways is a comprehensive, non-consumable phonics program that was designed to teach phonics to young learners, but is also suitable for older, struggling learners. The program utilizes a muti-sensory approach to teaching phonics by having students hear, trace, write, and say each letter and blend. Students are first introduced to short vowels, and are then taught to blend as soon as they learn each consonant. This program uses the beginning blend phonics method (ba-, bi-, etc.). After each new concept is taught, words, phrases, or sentences are used for practice. This is a self-contained program so no phonics readers are necessary; although they can be added, if desired. Instructions are contained within the text, and spelling rules, spelling charts, and pronunciation charts are contained at the back of the book.
