Sing, Spell, Read and Write Curriculum ReviewSing, Spell, Read, and Write is a multi-sensory, reading instruction program for grades Pre-K through 2 that teaches phonemic awareness, phonics, blending, reading, and handwriting. The program teaches through songs, games and hands-on activities. Instructional materials include CDs of songs to teach phonograms, decodable readers, interactive phonics charts, progress chart, workbooks, and teachers manuals. Levels Pre-K and K focus on teaching phonograms and decoding. By the end of the K level students should be able to decode single syllable, short-vowel words. Level 1 (approximately 1st grade) focuses on reading for fluency. By Level 2 (approximately 2nd grade) of the program students have progressed from decoding and learning to read, to reading to learn and comprehension.
