Likes: Abeka is a complete program. There is very little planning involved for the teacher. The children enjoy the colorful pictures in the workbooks. It was wonderful for me when I first began homeschooling, as I was a bit overwhelmed and slightly scared of what I was about to begin. Abeka's curriculum held my hand and led me through those first years.

Dislikes: As we have continued in our homeschool journey, we have discovered we don't have to be "just like school" to do our school work. A Beka curriculum was a little heavy on the workbook pages, and review work. It seemed very easy to fall behind.
