A Beka curriculum

I hated A Beka curriculum. My children hated A Beka. I felt that it moved too quickly and didn't give enough time to learn the concepts of new things. The history is so jam packed, that you barely have time to learn any one history event. I found the texts dry and boring. There is entirely too much testing in the subjects. To me, it's not a good curriculum for homeschoolers. For public or private schools it is.

We used all subjects and different grades. The only thing that I did like was the history for 3rd grade. I liked the biographies on different people.
