Likes: This curriculum is a breath of fresh air. I had used another curriculum for my oldest son through 6th grade, and, while it was great, the problems came with answers but didn't tell us how to work them out. Some were really hard and it took a lot of our time trying to figure out the problems so we could explain them.

With 5 younger children, I just needed something that was more teacher friendly. We switched to Teaching Textbooks last year and my 12 yr old is able to do the whole curriculum on his own and is learning so much!

It frees me up for more important subjects (Bible) and to help my younger children with much needed help with their school.

It is interesting for the children, keeps track of how they are doing and explains EVERY problem in a way for children to understand.

Dislikes: For kids really good at math, sometimes he over explains the lessons. I don't think it hurts any to listen to this, but my son who picks things up quickly , sometimes would prefer he could zoom through things. It is necessary for the non -math minded students though, so it's not something that needs to be changed.
