Likes: We enjoyed the songs and especially the games. My son was reading very well at the end of the year. We were able to continue phonics (after K5) with just the Handbook for Reading.

Dislikes: The program was a little bit too structured for me, but we adapted it. We didn't use the entire workbook because my son grew weary of it. I knew that this program would be very schooly, but I wanted to use it because I learned to read with ABeka.

If you want something solid, this is it. ABeka is an intense and complete phonics program.
