Alpha Omega LifePac

by Christina
(Petersburg, MI, USA)

I used Alpha Omega lifepacs for all subjects the first year I began homeschooling my oldest. It is very laid out for you and it was a little slower than some. I chose this one for those reasons. I was nervous about making sure my son got the education he needed. I wasn't sure exactly what I was doing. This gave me the confidence I needed.

The lesson plans were done for me, the material was all there. And since my son had not done well in Kindergarten in public school, I wanted something that would review K. He did really well with this and soon excelled. Because of it moving a little slower we decided to move on to something that moved a little faster for the next year. This program was easy to use and stress free. The price is good too. It is a full year program.

Easy to Use and Thorough

I like this program. Easy, self explanatory. Not stressful for either child or adult. Uses diversity of names, events and location throughout the pages. Real life learning. Son scored above grade level and two grade levels ahead in math by using this curriculum. I'm very happy!

Language Arts was Not a Hit...

by Bridget
(Connellsville, PA, USA)

We used this program for math and language arts for Kindergarten and 1st grade from 2006 to 2009. At first I really liked the Lifepacs, it seemed easy for me to use. I liked the Math a lot better than the Language Arts. In fact, because I have them I am still using the math with my son this year.

My daughter didn't like the Language Arts at all and I didn't care for it very much either. One thing she did like were the readers that came along with the 1st grade set. I didn't even attempt to use the language arts for my son. I know it would have driven both me and him crazy.

We liked the math a lot better but it seemed like we were constantly going over things that she already knew and she didn't like that. I am finishing up with the kindergarten book with my son and he seems to like it.

Review of Alpha Omega Science

by Vickie
(Daisetta, TX)

We used Alpha Omega Science for eighth grade. The content of the curriculum was great. It kept my daughter's attention and was interesting. However the format of the curriculum was extremely confusing to us both. It was hard to determine what went with what. It seemed disorganized to us. We liked the advanced level of the curriculum but not the way it was laid out. We used it in in 2006-7. The whole curriculum seemed fragmented to us.
