Levels Used: 2nd and 5th grades
Dates Used: 2007 - 2008 (I also used this with my daughter from 1988 - 1993.)

Likes: These books include a wide variety of words. The 2nd grade seems to just pick and choose words at random. However, the 5th grade book has specific categories. The 5th grade categories include countries, states, planets, flowers, birds, anatomy, animals, related to church, and more.

Each unit includes 5 lessons with the 5th lesson being the test. 2nd grade has more copying of the words, where 5th grade has more definitions.

Dislikes: The 2nd grade book has a lot of lines for copying the words, but the lines are close together. This was very confusing for me, let alone my 6 and 8 year old granddaughters.

I did copy the lines in different colors, so the girls could see where to write their words. I have ended up using the words, but making up my own word search puzzles and other games to help with memorization as it's less work for me.
