I use McRuffy Phonics and Reading programs with my two children. Each lesson gives a handwriting assignment, which can be done without the handwriting books. However my daughter is just learning how to form her letters and my son has never learned how to properly form his letters (I pulled him from p.s., and honestly just never noticed before I started homeschooling him.) So I wanted to get something that would have examples of what the letters should look like.

I love that the book is spiral bound. I love that it corresponds to the language arts curriculum. My only dislike about it is that I wish the 2nd grade book had arrows like the kindergarten book.
