R.E.A.L. Science Curriculum Review
R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey (Read, Explore, Absorb, and Learn) by Pandia Press currently offers Life Science, Earth Science, and Chemistry science courses for grades 1 to 4. Level 2 courses for the middle grades are expected to begin release during 2010.
Taught incrementally, this program teaches scientific terminology within the context of the lesson, and also incorporates the scientific method and age-appropriate math. Lessons are presented in an entertaining, story-like format and also include hands-on activities, notebooking activities, and suggested books and websites that reinforce the lessons.
Lab activities are accompanied by worksheets that allow students to record their findings and instructor's pages that contain a list of materials, instructions and teaching information for each project.
