Likes: Sonlight is a complete curriculum that covers all the bases, right down to the paper clips and other materials needed to perform science experiments. It promotes family time for read-alouds and does a nice job of combining Christianity and History together. It is great to have all of the books you'll need for the whole year at your fingertips and it is user-friendly, once you get the hang of the Instructor's Guides and how they're laid out.

Dislikes: Expensive and can be very intimidating at first (although Sonlight now has an online tutorial for you to watch on "box day" before you open up all of your materials, which explains how to put everything together in a way that makes sense). I also wish there were more hands-on activities for the children that correlate with History.
