SOTW

We've used Story of the World, Vol. 1 the Ancients.

Likes: We liked the narrative format and the engaging stories. This made for good read alouds. We also liked the maps, coloring pages and some of the activities in the activity guide.

Dislikes: It was difficult for my daughter to distinguish between the made up story part, and the actual history part. It was also difficult to distinguish between myth and history.

Although this series is often referred to as secular, it contains many stories regarding Christianity and presents stories, people and events from the bible as historical truth.
