Switched on Schoolhouse

Hello. My name is Jeannette and I am the homeschool mom of 7-ds 13, dd 11, dd 9, ds 7, ds 5, dd 3, and ds 9 months. To try to make life a little easier, we used SOS last year(9-07 to 5-08) for my two oldest (8th and 6th grades).

I really liked that they were able to work independently at their own pace. I loved that I could go in and unassign problems, pages, whatever I needed to. If they already had a concept down, why do 25 problems 4 different days?

The fact that the problems were graded and recorded and a report card available with no work on my part was wonderful!

One thing that I did not like about SOS was that I felt the material , particularly the math, was not up to the level we had previously been on with A Beka and Saxon. We did complete the year with this program, but are not using it again this year.
