Horizons Math by AOP

by Marja
(Idaho)

We actually enjoyed Horizons Math curriculum a lot. My son has severe ADHD and it was good for him because it kind of jumps around. My son would NEVER do addition till he was "good at it". He'd look at the sheet of 20 addition problems and start crying or saying it was too much.

This curriculum introduces a concept and then goes over past concepts. It does rely on flashcards which we don't do instead we use online math games. There are some good ones at gamequarium. The colored pages were good for him too....I guess just cause they kept his interest. It moved fast enough to keep him into it and not bored, but I didn't feel like it was too fast. There are lots of extra worksheets in the teachers manuals as well.

We are on our second year homeschooling and this was the only curriculum I didn't change from last year. Very affordable.
