Horizons Math Kindergarten

by Carla
(Noblesville, IN, USA)

Product: Horizons
Subject: Math
Levels Used: Kindergarten
Dates Used: 2007-2008

Likes: The workbooks are bright and colorful and are in bite-sized pieces and easy to follow. There are only 160 lessons of 2 pages each. These books are definitely for advanced learners, but they present the material in a simple manner. When my daughter was finished with the kindergarten books, I checked into other math curriculums and found that she had easily mastered not only the first grade books from other companies, but also much of the second grade books!

Dislikes: Toward the end, it got rather monotonous and a little too difficult for a kindergartener. This can be discouraging for some children.
