Likes: Horizons Math is a spiral approach. I like the repeated review of concepts. It helps keep concepts fresh. If you are in a state that requires testing, I believe that Horizons will be a good fit for your family. It is challenging and keeps up with current math standards. Your child gets plenty of time to learn a new concept and practice it.

Dislikes: Sometimes the amount of work is too much. I like the repetition but it's not always needed. I cut out some of the busy work. The lessons can be quite long, once you teach new concepts, do the workbook pages and drills.
