Likes: The biblical worldview and the thoroughness of the curriculum. The large selection of activities for the various grade levels. The integration of Geography.

I tried several history curriculums before coming across MOH. I read a description of somewhere and just knew that it was the curriculum I was looking for. I was thoroughly thrilled with it once I laid my hands on a copy.

I have recommended MOH to several of the moms in my homeschool group, and they have all loved using it. Like me they have gone from Volume 1 to the now released Volume III.

Linda has done an excellent job in bringing history to life and I would throughly recommend this curriculum to anyone looking for a lively history curriculum.

Dislikes: None that I can think of.

Mystery of History Vol. 1

Product: Mystery of History Vol. 1
Subject: History
Levels Used: Grades 1-4
Dates Used: 2006-2008

Likes: This is such a great program! Linda Hobar's conversational writing style makes presenting the lessons so easy for the teacher (and still interesting for the students). She includes a great deal of additional information to make the lessons more meaningful in the "big picture" of history. Everything ties together very well. I love how the events of world history are so expertly woven into Biblical history for a complete picture of what was going on in the world at a given time.

The timeline is a wonderful tool for review, and the great variety of activities (for all ages) were almost always a hit with my kids. The student notebooks are not only great for review, but are wonderful keepsakes as well.
