Making Math Meaningful

by Judi
(Colorado)

Product: Making Math Meaningful is a program that not only teaches basic math but critical thinking skills as well.

Subject: Mathematics
Levels Used: 2-6
Dates Used: 2004-2009

Likes: I have liked that this curriculum teaches students how to use math and not just memorize facts. It has also been easy to use as all that I need to teach is scripted in the teacher's book. I just need to follow the directions. The foundations are laid and by the time the child is on the 5th level they are pretty much self taught! That has been incredible to me!

Dislikes: It is not strong on math fact memorization, which I am finding needs to be added in to help make math go a little faster and smoother.
