I have used this book to teach several children. Some of them loved it, some have horrible memories. Those who knew some phonetic skills before did not enjoy it. Those who had a hard time blending or with auditory discrimination benefited greatly.

Likes:
- systematic
- great blending exercises
- builds rhyming skills
- built in review
- encourages the writing of sounds rather than letters

Dislikes:
- words that don't follow the rules are sounded out according to the rules and then pronounced differently.
