Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons is a phonics-based program for children as young as ages 3 to 6 that is based on the DISTAR method.
Parents guide their children through a step-by-step phonics program that moves from letter sounds to blending to reading words and stories. Each lesson is scripted, and requires approximately 20 minutes.
The program is simple, effective and inexpensive, and does not require purchase or use of supplemental materials. After completing the lessons, children should be able to read on a second grade level.
