Teaching Your Child to Read, Made Easy!

by Amy
(Olathe, KS, USA)

Product: Teach Your Child To Read in 100 Easy Lessons
Subject: Reading and Writing
Levels Used: Pre-K through First Grade
Dates Used: April 2007-present day

Likes: This product takes the guess work out of how to teach your child to read. Each lesson is relaxed and completely scripted for the parent. The scripts are written so that the child can easily understand.

Implementing each lesson takes about 15-20 minutes. I had zero prep time after reading the initial introduction in the front of the book.

The last section of each lesson is a writing lesson. I used a basic handwriting workbook that I found at a local retail store.

Dislikes: This curriculum uses a lot of repetition. I felt like I kept saying the same things over and over but I think the review was helpful to my children!
