Zoology 1: Flying Creatures

We just started using Apology Zoology 1 - Flying Creatures this year, 2009, and we love it!

I find it to be extremely comprehensive and challenging but not overwhelming. My child loves this book and it is usually the first thing he asks for every day.

The experiments are very appropriate for this age level (3rd grade) and even I have been enjoying them (I'm not much of a science gal!).

The notebooking really cements the things that are learned and some of these are free online - which is wonderful!

Also, there is a yahoo group for this curriculum where you get all of your questions answered - this group has been very helpful.

I can't say enough good things about Apologia science - we are looking forward to doing more books in the future.
