Heart of Dakota is a combination of unit studies, living books and textbooks. This Christ-centered curriculum for grades preschool through 8 allows parents to do worthwhile activities with their children without spending large amounts of time on planning and preparation. The program is designed so children can study on their own as they progress in age.
HOD currently offers seven curriculum guides that each take approximately one year to complete. Each guide contains lesson plans, suggested activities and booklists. While the curriculum covers nearly every subject, parents will need to add their own math and grammar program. Parents of young students may wish to select their own phonics program as well.
